"If I was all my stereotypes, I couldn’t even exist.” So raps Westside Gravy, a GW junior whose repertoire tackles the complexities of his Black and Jewish identities. Inspired by Tupac, trap, and drawing on the history lessons of his Judaic Studies major, Westside Gravy wrote today’s track to satirize the contradictions of the labels he lives under, but also to allow others to experience his dual world.
